2013 Laurier Loop

THANK YOU for making the 2013 Laurier Loop the biggest and the best yet!

Recap

Runners woke up today to a new world record in the marathon, set by Wilson Kipsang in Berlin. The combination of inspiration and the warm, sunny day led a record crowd (681) to raise a record total ($12,500) for the Sun Life Financial Movement Disorders Research and Rehabilitation Centre!
Four loops of fun, purple and gold everywhere, steel drums, and a fantastic post-race barbecue topped off a great day.

Results

Congratulations to all finishers of the race, except the football player carrying the time chips of several of his teammates. Just kidding, we love the WLU varsity teams!

Next Race

The next race in the Waterloo Running Series is the largest and most festive race in all of Waterloo Region – the 17th Annual Oktoberfest Run! With 5KM, 10KM, and 200m options, it is quite an event, and we made some great changes for this year!
