Tip: print out this schedule and use a thick marker to cross off each day; don’t break the chain of “X”s! Next step: throw in some hill repeats, tempos, or interval workouts into your runs.

The Harvest Half Marathon is Waterloo Region’s fall half marathon. It’s a flat, gravel road course: perfect for beginners.

Training starts with a “Rest Day” on Sunday, July 20 and a run the following day. Happy training, and we hope to see you in September!

This schedule is adapted from Runners’ World.

I’ve considered this fitness goal for quite some time. I live in North Waterloo. Is there anyone interested in training with me in the evenings to help inspire and stay on track? I am new to running and would love to have a work out /running partner…

Hi Kelly, the Health + Performance groups runs every Monday and Wednesday evening in Waterloo. It’s a very welcoming environment and you’ll always find people to run with!
