Thank you for joining us at the 7th Downtown Kitchener Mile. Just over one loop around the lake in Victoria Park is a great way to spend a summer evening.
Congrats to all runners and walkers in the challenging mile event!
Participants were treated to all of the heat and humidity, but none of the rain. We love running in downtown Kitchener and this event has become a staple of our Run Pure+Simple series.
The first 100+ photos have been posted, but stay tuned for several hundred more.
Sharp eyes will notice a new feature in our results, a waving hello to all first-events as members. Today we officially welcomed new RW members for William Behnke, Cohen Stork, Hudson Yolkowski, Rian Neogi, Ian Lang, Gillian Devellano, and Lyndsay Richards! All members can go back and see this feature in the results for their first event after joining RW. Spoiler alert: hundreds were given out at the first event after memberships were launched. But when was that, exactly? Poke around our results page for all kinds of filters, records, and other fun surprises.
Next up for Run Waterloo are The Runway in August, Kitchener Kids with Cancer Run & Walk in September, and of course, the TMMC Fall 5 KM Classic in October. See you at the start line!
