It was a cool and crisp morning at Kiwanis Park in Kitchener for the 12th Annual Kitchener Kids with Cancer Run & Walk. We were joined by over 800 runners and walkers of all ages, who hit the Kiwanis trails for a 5k, 10, or 200m fun run. A touch of fall was in the air, and the crowd was energetic and spirited- it was a best way to wrap up our summer racing season.
Whether walking, jogging, or running the park trails today, amazing efforts were brought by all. Check out the results from the day here:

This race is a part of our Run Love series, as one of Run Waterloo’s major fundraisers for a local charity. Today, the community showed up with strong support for POGO, the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario, collectively raising over $120k towards the goal. It’s inspiring to see the strength of the children, families, caregivers and medical staff who came out to #kwrunforpogo today. Thanks to everyone for supporting for this important cause!
Hundreds of free photos on the way. Check out our website for our full fall lineup, lots of exciting events to come!
