Two miles of tarmac at twilight? We’ve got alliteration and exhilaration at this event on the Region of Waterloo International Airport.
This fun race is in its fifth year of giving runners a unique experience, behind the scenes at the airport. Whether you’re pounding out a 3.2k race or run/walking for fun, this family friendly event is a great way to spend a summer evening.

All finishers receive a special pin at the finish line based on these time standards:

Parking is available on the streets near the operations centre. Approach only from Kossuth and be directed to a parking spot by a highly visible marshal.
All parking for this event takes place on New Germany Lane, steps from the Operations Centre. Inside the maintenance bay you’ll find music, healthy snacks, and witness a summer sunset.
Time limit: All participants must be off the tarmac by 8:50 at the latest. Starting at the halfway mark (one mile), if participants are slower than 25 minutes, they will be pulled off the course.This is a strict limit.
Registration and kit pickup
Online through Race Roster. Paper forms are available only at Runners’ Choice, 55 Erb. St. E. Waterloo, and are accepted until August 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
No refunds or deferrals. Entries can be transferred through Race Roster for a $7.50 fee until the transfer deadline of August 11 at midnight.
Kit pickups and race weekend registration
Thursday, August 22: kit pickup at Airport Operations Centre 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
