On a hot day in Waterloo Region, the bottom of a cool mud pit is the place to be!
Recap
Thanks to all participants, volunteers and spectators for braving the splashes of mud at the 4th annual Dirty Dash! The event had over 700 runners and raised over $7000 for the Special Olympics Ontario – KW!
The mud did not disappoint. After a pretty but challenging 3.9 KM of trails and various obstacles comes the piece de resistance: the mud pit. It takes 70 yards of dirt and 48 hours of water and fine tilling to create the sloppiest spectacle in running. Don’t wear white cotton if you want to wear the shirt again! Many old running shoes were lost to the bottom of the mud.

Next Race
Like getting covered in mud? (Or maybe it’s not your thing?) The next (and newest) race in the series is the First Ever In Running Colour!
The event is untimed and strictly for fun. Run 4 KM (or 1 KM for kids), and be blitzed with coloured powder along the way!
Thanks for your support!
