That was a blast 
we’re starry-eyed with excitement over today’s top turnout. This weekend, a record setting 2000 runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities joined us for our 49th Annual Classic weekend, and the energy was sky high. This sunny Sunday morning we had a 200m fun run for the aspiring racers, a 3k that was either standalone or the second leg of the Little Dipper, and a 10k that was either standalone or the second leg of a Big Dipper. That’s a lot of races, a ton of runners, and an orbit of fun. Check out the Classic results here:
To all the participants this weekend, you are the stars. Congratulations on earning our brightest, shiniest golden finishers medal. We hope that when this medal in your collection glints and catches your eye, it will remind you of today, the time that you were a smiling face in the crowd of our biggest and brightest event ever, and this wouldn’t be the same without you. Thanks for being part of the RW community!

Huge congrats to all winners of the My Next KW Race contest, including Jessie who ended up walking away with a bonus entry for the 50th Waterloo 10 KM Classic in 2027. That race is launching this afternoon and participants will be notified of the opening and earliest access!

Reach for the Stars- Day 1 of Classic Weekend
This evening we got the Dippers underway with their 5k, and they’ll be back tomorrow to join our sold-out crowd of Classic runners at our biggest race of the year. We also had a fun run, spotlight on the kiddos! Well done and good luck to all the runners who will be following up their 5k today with either a 3k tomorrow for the Little Dipper, or a 10k tomorrow for the Big Dipper- all Dippers will earn their exclusive glow in the dark constellation medal. We can’t wait for the stellar main event tomorrow, it’ll be out of this world! Shiny finisher medals and shiny good times await all! Until then, here are today’s 5k results:
