2013 ENDURrace 5km

While runners everywhere are getting excited for the Boston Marathon tomorrow, we are in the middle of our annual Economical ENDURrace series here in Waterloo!

DSC_0841Recap

Saturday, April 13th saw runners compete in the first leg – the 5km route around Elmira from Lion’s Hall.  It was a windy day, which led to some extremely fast 4km splits, but the precipitation held off for the extent of the run.  Thanks everyone for braving the hail-like weather for a great race today!

All pledges from this race are donated to the local United Way.  You still have one week to collect: we’ll announce the total next Saturday!

Results

Congratulations to all finishers of today’s race.  There are three award events: 5km, 8km, and the combined totals.  The second two will be announced on Saturday, April 20.
Men’s winner Josh Morrison.
Some drama exists in the overall placings, with each leader holding leads under ten seconds:
Women’s winner Catherine Sukkau.
