In a world that could use another superhero or two, Cambridge, Ontario was the place to be on Sunday morning. This was the 32nd annual Rotary Classic Superhero Run!
This race is organized by Rotary Clubs of Cambridge in support of KidsAbility, and is the newest member of Run Waterloo’s Run Love series. About 500 participants gathered for a fun, family-friendly run/walk at Hespeler Arena.
Superheros come in all shapes and sizes, from the volunteers, to the Waterloo Regional Police Service, to our children with special needs, to all participants (especially those in capes and/or masks)!
In total, the event raised over $40,000 …. and counting! Donations are still open online. To one’s surprise, Nate ‘The Great’ McCarthy took home the prize of top fundraiser. His team raised over $6,000 through this event!
