This year, we are doing contests less frequently but each one is bigger than in the past, and this one is the largest of all time!
Prizes
TEN* free entries up for grabs, 10 unique winners for one entry to any of the 5 races we just dropped to our calendar: Run @ Ribfest, TMMC Fall 5 KM Classic, Trick or Trot, RememberRun, Santa Pur-suit.
How to enter
There is no contest theme this time around. We are really just doing a vibe check: what are you feeling about running, this race in particular, or the rest of the year? No wrong answers!
This contest is run in two ways: online through Instagram and Facebook, and in person. There are multiple ways to enter:
- First inbound post/story that is tagged to @RunWaterloo and @MyNextKWHome = 5 points
- Any subsequent = 2 points
- First comment/quote on post/story from @RunWaterloo that tags @MyNextKWHome = 3 points
- Next 3 subsequent = 1 point
- First comment/quote on post/story from @MyNextKWHome that tags @RunWaterloo = 3 points
- Next 3 subsequent = 1 point
- First comment/quote on a post/story from any other account that tags @RunWaterloo and @MyNextKWHome = 5 points
- In person at the My Next KW Home booth at the Waterloo 10 KM Classic on Sunday, June 21 = 10 points
Deadline to participate online is Saturday, June 20th at 9:00 p.m. Entries may be recorded from after that time until the contest draw, but no guarantees.
Contest timeline
We are going to collect each entry in a spreadsheet and then use a random number generator to come up with 10 unique winners. The draw live will happen at Waterloo 10 KM Classic on Sunday, June 21 at 9:55 a.m. *If any contest winners who are present, a bonus prize is revealed: one will walk away with a free entry to the 50th Waterloo 10 KM Classic in 2027!
Finer details
Each of the ten winners can choose an entry to any of these races. If they have already signed up for any of the races, they can instead choose a refund or take an entry for a friend.
