How fun was that🤩 we’re still seeing stars over the success of our biggest and brightest Waterloo 10 KM Classic in history. The sun was shining, the energy was electric, and the vibes were unmatched. Thanks to the record 1,820 participants at this weekend’s start lines, we welcomed our largest crowd ever for this year’s 48th annual, in an epic and seemingly never-ending start to the 3 and 10k! Check out the video on our social media!
There is so much to celebrate today. The amazing community turnout, from runners to walkers, volunteers to sponsors. All those Little and Big Dippers who ran back to back events and earned the starry light up medal. All the dads who came out on Father’s Day to run, some going for fast PBs, some with kids of all ages and some pushing strollers. The joy of the unfailingly speedy kids in the fun run! We congratulate everyone!
We’re loving the excitement for the locket finisher medal, evoking fond memories of Classics past, at the former track of Seagram Stadium. Tag us in your posts and stories so we can see what special token you put inside! We’re glad you loved the light up medals for the Dipper events as well. We take pride in adding to your illustrious medal collections. Lots more planned for future races, so stay tuned!
[Update: the winner has been found!] If you missed the announcement at the start line, there was a lucky medal given out at the finish line! If you received a finisher locket medal containing the note, “see you at the start line,” message us a photo and we’ll send you a free entry for next year’s Classic!
Check out our website for our upcoming racing calendar, and the photo gallery that will be updated over the coming weeks by our incredible hard working photographers who came out to capture the event. We love sharing your posts and stories of your run as well!
