2026 E-60

ENDURrun is back with another new event. This week it’s E-60, a prelim to the main week that is 6 days and 60 total kilometres.

Day 6

It was a trying week and runners suffered more than they probably expected. But we made the best of the circumstances and you can see final results posted online now. We barely saw you and it’s time to say goodbye…until August, for 80 or 160.

Congratulations to David Sharratt for winning the Age Grade, and Jacob Zerko and Ivy Friedman for winning the cumulative time.

Day 5

3,000 metre times are now posted.

The Age Grade results have shaken up a bit compared to the cumulative time because a component of the age grade is that all events are weighted equally, which really shows up in the shortest stage. Star performers today shot up the standings.

More generally with the Age Grade, most athletes set their single-event high for the week, given the fast nature of the track concept. Bruce Grant achieved a new high watermark of 85.08 AG in the 3,000.

Half Marathon – Update

Why waste any time? Saturday’s finale is cancelled live. Participants have been sent a variety of options for conclusion.

3,000m – Update

Stop us if you’ve heard this before: today’s race is virtual only. With a projected AQHI of 10 for race time, this is not an automatic cancellation by rule, but it’s what we are going with today. Participants know the drill. Many are meeting at the Waterloo Memorial Rec Complex at 5:00 on Friday to run the inbdoor track.

Day 4

14 of the runners came to Baden tonight and results are up. There is a filter on today’s results showing who ran Baden and who ran virtually, many together at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex including many stairs.

2026 Prelim 60k Stage 4: 10.4k Technical Trail Run

10.4k Trail – Update

As participants expected and feared, they received an email before noon today explaining that while the conditions today will allow an in-person race, we are still offering a virtual option for those who need it. We are gutted by the disruptions to the social and competitive aspects of this race, and for those we have lost from the series along the way. We appreciate everyone trying to make virtual efforts somewhat comparable to hilly cross country and steep technical. We are considering time adjustments in the sense of doing what’s best for the event and will have further updates.

Day 3

Results from a virtual 5 miler are in. We hope to see you tomorrow in Baden.

5 Miler – Update

Well, this is a tough one to swallow. The heat was hot today, but the race is turning virtual for a different reason – air quality. Another day, another of our favourite running venues bites the dust.

Day 2

Day 2 virtual run results are posted.

2026 ENDURrun Prelim Stage 2: 7.5k Time Trial

Time Trial – Update

This was supposed to be a 7.5k time trial along the incredible Grand Trunk section of the Grand River Trail. Instead, the projected temperatures were consistently projected to be beyond the allowable limit under Athletics Ontario rules, so this race was pre-emptively turned virtual on Monday evening to allow participants to do this solo under the coolest conditions they could find. The time trial format is supposed to be solo anyway 🙂

As always, everyone is welcome back at race HQ for a swim at their convenience.

Day 1

The race started on Monday, July 13 with a 10k at RIM Park. You can find the results here, but keep in mind that there is a “Series” link on that page that gives you two options. The first one is the normal cumulative time, but toggle for “Age Grade” to see the re-rankings. Screenshot below:
