We’ll keep this short and sweet, just like the Run Pure + Simple Series: if you’re a fan of making new running friends, FREE races, and the element of surprise, then this is the event for you. This morning at Breithaupt Park in Kitchener, participating RW members were randomly paired up with 3 other members for a 4×2.5k relay through the hilly park trails. Fast, fun, unpredictable, and did we mention FREE?
Putting on the free events in this series is one of the ways we thank our valuable members for their year-long support of Run Waterloo. And the focus is on the running, just how we like it. No food, no awards, just friendly competition and bragging rights. And those go to.. team Runaround Sue! Congrats on taking the title!
The forest was a great spot to see three sets of brothers paired up (including 1st and 2nd overall), or Hudson gaining ground on his dad but just falling 22 seconds short, or Ivy giving Ori chase on the 4th lap, lots of fun to be found on the tricky but gorgeous trail at Breithaupt Park.
