Run At Ribfest … a 5k fun run … with BEER.

Run at Ribfest is a new event that pairs craft brews with running in the best possible way. Ribfest & Craft Beer Show is the best festival of the summer, and we’re adding a new run to it in 2018!
We’ve put together a 1k loop through Victoria park that starts and ends in the licensed area. For each of the five laps, you drink a beer sample each loop from one of these five Ontario craft breweries:

After the run, you’ve got the afternoon to enjoy the festival with your friends, and more beer tokens to spend!

- The course is closed to traffic, and not timed. This is a fun run, with beer. Not a race.
- All entries come with Ribfest VIP package, which includes VIP wristband, souvenir glass, 5 more beer tokens, and more.

The ball started rolling when we decided to put Dirty Dash on hiatus for 2018. We wanted to replace it with a fresh idea that you’ve been asking for – a beer run – and keep that festival at Bechtel Park. In December, we called that event Mug Run and asked you to July 7.
Before we got the chance to launch Mug Run, it got this major upgrade – a new home and date (just two weeks later), and a hyped up version of the atmosphere we were aiming for with Mug Run. This collaboration between Run Waterloo and Downtown Kitchener Ribfest and Ontario craft brewers including Waterloo Brewing is the perfect definition of local.
So we (re)branded as #RunAtRibest after the greatest post-run party you could possibly imagine – Ribfest & Craft Beer Show.
