The past few months have flown and before we knew it, Fall was upon us. How is it October already!?
Perhaps it’s pumpkin spiced lattes, Fall Farms, or maybe it just happens to be Run Waterloo’s Fall 5 KM Classic. Whatever it is we want to know, and anyone who answers will be entered in to win a FREE entry to the 2022 Fall Classic!
Fall is Mike’s favourite for many reasons. Here are his top 5:
1. The changing colours of the leaves on the trees.
2. The return of routine. With children summers are fun, but also very busy. It’s nice to settle back into the schedule.
3. Cooler temperatures. While I love the hot summer days, I do enjoy the cool breeze in the fall.
4. The Region’s events in the Fall are some of the best. Including Lumen for example.
5. And last, but certainly not least, the Fall Classic. My favourite race of the year. A chance to see old friends and meet new ones. It’s a race I have run for the last seven consecutive years, and after two years of hiatus, it’s great to be back in 2022.
Now it’s your turn. What’s your favourite thing about Fall?
Anyone who answers between now and October 12 on one of the Facebook, Instagram or Blog posts will be entered in to win 1 of 2 free entries to the upcoming Fall Classic happening on October 23.
Already registered for the race? No problem! You’ll be given the opportunity to use the free entry for a friend, or for any future Run Waterloo race.

Seeing the leaves change beautiful colours.
Agreed Amanda! And this year especially the colours are stunning. Thanks for sharing.
My fall favorites are:
1. The fall colours are especially beautiful all along hiking trails
2. 5K Classic 🙂
3. Oktoberfest
4. Halloween
5. K-W Markets
Thanks Marius! That is a great list!
My favourite fall thing is walking barefoot through trails before it gets too cold….
Underrated point!
I love the colours of the leaves each week. So vibrant and radiant at the same time. Such a treat to the eyes!
Fall can get really dull, but before it does…it’s just spectacular. FYI we snuck this entry in before the draw!
Most years I would say the drop in temperature and the pleasantness that brings to my runs. However, this year is my first fall with my new colour blindness glasses so I’m seeing fall colours for the first time (it’s bright!).
Thanks Ian! That is great! This fall was extra vibrant!
