Baden Races 2019

Baden Races are Saturday. Here is everything you need to know for race day.

Online registration: closed.

Kit Pickup
: Friday at Runners’ Choice 5:00-7:00pm, or at WRC 7:30-9:00am. We will be accepting registrations at these times as well, cash, cheque or credit. You can pick up race kits for other participants. Please obtain their approval and advise them that you are doing so.

Venue: Wilmot Recreation Complex, 1291 Nafziger Rd, Baden

Race start: for precise locations, look at the maps below.

  • 7 Mile: 8:30am, on Gingerich Road
  • 5k & Duathlon: 9:00 at the back of the arena
  • 200m: 10:30: inside on arena floor

BIB NUMBERS. Please attach your bib number to the FRONT of your shirt so that it is clearly visible to the course marshalls.

CONTACT INFORMATION.  Please ensure that your personal contact information (name, phone #) and any special medical conditions, are indicated on the back of your bib.

EVENT CHANGE. Please DO NOT switch events during the run (your desired distance can only be changed prior to the run, after notifying registration staff). If you do, please notify the Chip Timers immediately after crossing the finish line.

TIMING CHIPS. For Individual runners, CHIPS are attached to your Bib Number and do not have to be returned. For Relay runners, the CHIPS need to be returned following your run.  Remember: NO CHIP = NO TIME !

TIME LIMIT. The time limit to complete the course is calculated at 10 minutes per kilometre.  Starting at the half way mark, if a participant does not reach a km mark by this calculated time, the participant will be asked to move to the sidewalk/shoulder and finish the race as a pedestrian, unassisted by race support.  Participants are asked to familiarize themselves with the course route if this situation might be a possibility to them.  We wish to minimize traffic disruption caused by our event, and value the support of Police services regarding participant safety, and trust you understand our position.

COURSE SUPPORT & FIRST AID. If you encounter any difficulty at all, please seek assistance from the many clearly identified race or REACT volunteers or Police that are on the course to assist you.

FINISH TIMES. Posted times and results are unofficial until the Medals are distributed.  If you notice any discrepancies please notify Chiptime Results immediately.

POST RACE and MEDAL PICKUP. Enjoy a variety of food and refreshments, musical entertainment, and massage. Medals can be picked up as soon as the final results are determined. No more waiting through a long Awards Ceremony. Unclaimed medals will be dropped off at Runners’ Choice for pick up any time after Monday May 20.

RESULTS. Race results will be posted immediately following the race on results.runwaterloo.com

PHOTOGRAPHS. It will take a few days to post on our website, but please check back to see hundreds of photos of this event.
