The 2013 ENDURrun kicked off this morning on a beautiful day in Conestogo. Congratulations to all finishers!
The field consists of runners who will compete in the 8 day, 7 stage ENDURrun which totals 160 KM for the week. We call them our “Ultimate” runners because the frequency, difficulty, and dedication to take a week in August to race every day is ultimate.
Special congratulations to Mark Meyers and Catherine Kelly, who lead the event after the first day and as cumulative leaders, win the right to wear a gold jersey in the the next stage. The next stage is tomorrow morning: a 15 KM time trial, where runners start every minute!
Also included as part of ENDURrun week: relay teams, runners in the Sport division (3 stages), and guest runners running any stage. Local relay team Health and Performance sits in first place in the relay competition. The Sport division starts on Friday.
