Our photos are one of the unique components of your Run Waterloo race experience.
Led by Julie Schmidt, our photo team takes hundreds of high-quality photos at each race and publishes them for free at our photo site. Visit our Flickr site (2011 – present) for over 250,000 photos.
Please feel free to download and use any of these photos for non-commercial purposes. Don’t be shy to give credit to the photographer if you publish or repost it! Thanks 🙂
How to download photos from Flickr
It’s super easy, whether you have a Flickr account or not. In the bottom-right corner of each photo, there is a download icon link (looks like a down arrow). If you’re still having trouble, look online for more detailed instructions 🙂
Photo Tagging
Photos are tagged directly to our results site through the magic of crowdsourcing. All you need is a free Flickr account, and just tag any bib number you see. These tags will then automatically feed into the results – check it out!
Historical Record
Google is no longer supporting Picasa (our photo site from 2007-2015). We are in the process of retrieving our historical albums, and have restored photos all the way back to 2010. The time-consuming process continues…
We also have tens of thousands of hard copy photos from the 1990s and earlier. If you have a photo scanner and a passion for this project, let us know!
Get Involved
If you are a photographer, let us know if you want to get involved! We post albums of pictures from a diverse and talented team, and we would love your help.
We also bring our popular photo boards from all of our races, to all of our races.
