I am pleased and proud to announce that as of January 1, 2017, Jordan Schmidt has assumed the day to day operations of Run Waterloo as Operations Manager. Jordan is a strong advocate of community based non-profit organizations, and his interest and expertise in running events is well known in this community. Jordan has a B.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University and has participated in RunWaterloo events since 1992 when he was 5 years old, is chairperson of the Run Waterloo Advisory Board, and has already begun to shape Run Waterloo.
Little did he know, but Jordan has been groomed for this position since 1987. Please join me in welcoming and congratulating Jordan in his new role!
I will still serve as Race Director in a limited role, but after 30 years, I am excited for new and fresh leadership, and for the future of Run Waterloo under Jordan’s vision and direction. I hope that you give Jordan the same support that you have generously given me for the past 30 years.
