Welcome to all of our new members. As you know, RW members get access to exclusive perks. Here’s a cool one!
All RW members will be given several personalized member bibs, with their first name. These bibs can be worn at almost any 2017 Run Waterloo event, or kept as souvenirs!
Thanks to our friends at Aubs & Mugg for the design and M&T Printing Group for the printing. These bibs look fantastic!
How to get them:
- These bibs are free to all RW members as of midnight, January 31, 2017. Members do not need to do anything to receive the bibs. Any member who signs up after this date will not receive the bibs.
- These bibs are completely optional to members. Members will never be required to wear them.
- They can be picked up at any kit pickup and can be worn in almost all Run Waterloo events that are chip timed (except ENDURrun, for example). They will be ready for you to wear at the Re-Fridgee-Eighter.
- Each member receives four, to use, re-use, frame, file away, craft, recycle, whatever you want!
Responsibilities of the bib wearer:
- Runners wearing their personalized bib MUST pick up their chip in the usual way, and wear it during the race. Wearing the personalized bib but not the chip will not give the member a time in the event. Runners can wear this bib over top of their chip bib.
- Runners wearing their personalized bib MUST be familiar with the course. Marshals will recognize you as a participant in the race, but not know necessarily which event you are in. At the point along the course where two events (5 and 10k, for example) split, it is the runners’ responsibility to know where to go.
- Only the member is allowed to wear their race bib or member bibs. Sharing these bibs with any other individuals during a race is a serious offence and is grounds for cancellation of your membership. Just don’t do it 🙂
