The 36th Annual Waterloo 10 KM Classic was a blast! A little bit of rain (ok, a lot) didn’t keep the spirits down of a fun and festive Father’s Day run.
Recap
In one of the older sporting traditions in the region, runners, walkers and joggers took part in the annual Waterloo Classic this morning. Many spent a quality Sunday morning with their fathers and families. Most of the run for most of the runners was perfect: cool with a slight mist, but it’s safe to say that no one left with dry shoes!
Pledges were raised for the Heartwood Place! The total is still being tallied.

Next Race
The next race in the series is the Dirty Dash on July 14th. It’s the dirtiest you can get while running! (We hope it rains). In it’s fourth year, the mud pit promises to be extra muddy, and as always, all pledges go to support the initiatives of the KW Special Olympics!
More information and registration is available here.
However, the big news this weekend is the addition of a new race this summer, In Running Colour! If getting covered in mud isn’t your thing, how about explosions of colour?
This run features 4 KM and 1 KM events, and is a brand-new event. More details are available here!
