Cool and cloudy aren’t the ideal spring conditions, but they sure make for a great road race!
Recap
Thank you again to all of the participants, volunteers, spectators, donors and sponsors that joined us in Elmira this April, especially our title sponsor Economical Insurance. Over $1,300 was raised for the Woolwich Counselling Centre, and they are very grateful for your support!
What makes the Economical ENDURrace awesome is that it’s a series, where runners compete in two road races, in back-to-back weekends. The 5k sets the stage for a dramatic 8k in the second week. It’s fair to say that we were anticipating some epic performances…
8k times that will set #ENDURrace records tonight: Brett Crowley (OA, 27:32) Bettina Boucher (OA, 32:39) and Jim Seeds (Masters, 27:46). GL!

Results
…and what can we say but, they delivered. Congratulations to all finishers, especially our winners:
Brett Crowley set a new combined record by over a minute and a half, running 25:57 (also an event record) for the 8k. Second place finisher Daniel Fournier also finished more than 30 seconds faster than the previous combined record. In the women’s field, Bettina Boucher ran a blistering 29:47, for new 8k and combined records, taking almost three minutes off of the previous combined record! In the masters category, Jim Seeds set new 8k and combined records as well.
Race Photos & Video
A teaser album from the 8k is available, with the rest of the photos to follow later this week.
All of the photos from last week’s 5k are now available on Flickr, and are linked to the results page.
Remember to check out our newest feature, video footage of you (and everyone else) crossing the finish line that will be posted Sunday. Be sure to let us know if you’d like to see more of this!
See you on May 13 at the fourth Baden Road Races!
