Photo Contest: Running with Nature

The contest is open until midnight on May 13, 2022.

Of all the great perks of running, one of the best is spending so much quality time outside. From the fresh air to the beautiful sunrises and sunsets to surprise encounters with wildlife, the list goes on and on.

To celebrate Earth Day 2022, Run Waterloo and the Region of Waterloo Community Environmental Fund are giving you the chance to appreciate nature even more with:

One of TWO 2022 Grand River Conservation Area Memberships!

There are three simple rules for this photo contest. You must:

• Be over 18 years of age
• Consent to use of the photo and text on our social media accounts
• Submit only one picture with a short description and a 1 sentence answer to the question: Why is nature important to you?

The contest deadline is May 13th with the winners announced at the Baden race on May 14th (winners do not need to be present). Runners up will also be featured on our social media to spread the love of running and the planet! To enter, simply post your entry on any of Run Waterloo’s social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and tag #runningwithnature and @runwaterloo. (If you post is not acknowledged, email josalyn@runwaterloo.com to make sure we see it!)

The enviRUNment team was founded in 2020 and our environmental impact instantly plummeted! But seriously, we have made lots of changes to our processes over the past few years and once our events are back to full scale, our footprint will be much smaller. And we’ve also been running giveaways like this. Each of these memberships is valued at $145!
