RememberRun entry contest!

With the ECU Trick or Trot being cancelled for 2024, we didn’t launch our 9th contest last week, and instead are doubling up this contest with four entries up for grabs for RememberRun!

Fall is here. Any season is a great season to run, but if you really had to choose, fall is right at the top! The change of season always brings something new and in autumn, we have cooler temperatures, beautiful colours, still enough daylight to enjoy trails, and a nice reprieve between what can be harsh at times in summer and winter.

What I want to talk about this month, what are you going to enjoy this fall before it’s gone! Could be weather, running opportunities, special events, it doesn’t even have to be running related. Fall is an incredible season and it often disappears before we’re ready to say goodbye!

Signing up my 14 year old son (would be his first 5km) for the Remember Run so he, myself and my mom can run in the same race together. Three generations!

I love that! Can’t wait until I can do the same.

Started running again after injuries in Feb 2024. Goal is to run 3km three times a week and continue to improve PB time until there is too much snow!

    • Michael and Laura Hewitson October 5, 2024 8:35 am

Thanks Sarah! Injuries are never fun back glad to hear you are getting back out.

I ran my first-ever race this past weekend for the Fall 5km Classic. The idea to run a 5km race had been a stretch goal of mine for a while now and seemingly unattainable – until this year! In July I took control of my health. I quit smoking, started walking/jogging, and getting active. I eat better now, have lost 25 lbs, and am still smoke-free and successfully completed the Fall 5km Classic with an eye on my next challenge. My Fall Priority: tackle my next 5km challenge and run the Remembrance Run in honour of my son who currently serves in the Canadian Armed Forces.

    • Michael and Laura Hewitson October 5, 2024 8:36 am

Wow! Good for you John! I hope your first race went well!
